The Company
Our clients are a market leader within the oil and gas industries, boasting over 30 years experience within their chosen field, due to recent expansion plans they are now looking to recruit Centre Lathe Turners to join their existing machine shop team.
The Role
Turning products up to 20 foot long and 20" diameter 4 jaw chuck with DTI.Working off spiders ( thimbles) and one or two steadies. Reading from drawings and using a electronic wall gauge.
Hours & Days:
Working 2 rotating 2 shift system consisting of a days and nights shift this client allows flexibility with starting times, however core hours are to include:-
Days – Mon-Thurs - 7.6hrs Friday's - 6.6hrs with a 20 minute break
Nights – Mon-Wed – 10hrs Thursday - 8.5hrs with a 30 minute break
As a busy expanding business there is always overtime for those who are interested
About You:
For this role you will be apprentice trained with a minimum of 3 years experience of working on a manual centre lathe turner, working on large components within a medium to heavy engineering environment

The company offer a loyalty bonus when after two years and three years service All overalls are provided free and a boot allowance per year. They also provide a standard boot which costs £14 a pair of up to 3 pairs per year. All PPE is provided free and any person who wares prescription lenses the company will pay for the safety glasses
