A Lighting Design Engineer with design flair is being sought to join this highly design focused team in Leeds to produce schemes for a range of projects from city centre master planning such as city centre re-developments to high profile buildings ranging from corporate HQ's to retail stores as well as more bespoke sites such as museums and art galleries.
You will be expected to work to a clients brief autonomously while liaising with other Engineers as to progress and deadlines. You will also be working with larger groups on specific projects.
The key to success in this role is your ability to use your initiative in seeking innovative, yet effective solutions. Within this group you will also have the opportunity to interface with and influence Services Engineers, Architects and Façade Engineers.
An experienced Lighting Design Engineer, you ideally will have some experience of working on lighting schemes for any of the above projects.
You may well be an engineer (i.e. an Electrical Design Engineer) or be working within the field of Architecture or Interiors with a focus on lighting. The key thing is that you have a particular flair and interest in lighting and design.
You may well be a member of the Institute of Lighting Engineers, but it is crucial that you can demonstrate the ability to develop a concept as well as the detail design of a project.
This position is based in Leeds, but works very closely with the companies other offices within the UK and overseas on a number of schemes. As such the opportunities for travel are considerable once you have established your skills and credentials within this specialist group.
